Thank you for your sacrifice.
Memorial Day originated in 1868 upon the direction of Gen. John A. Logan and was first called Decoration Day. Its original purpose was a day to decorate the graves of Civil War veterans and has since grown to be a day we commemorate all our war dead.
Today I encourage all to take part in a commemoration ceremony, visit a cemetery, give thanks for, and honor to all that have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our form of Government and our Constitution.
John 15:13 says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends."
The original Greek word used here for friend is Philos and according to the Strong's Greek dictionary one of its meanings is neighbors.
Thank you my fallen friends. I thank your families and all that serve or have served. I thank all who have and do put themselves in harm’s way.
Thanks for your true Brotherly Love in laying down your lives for your neighbors. This is the true Philadelphia we were founded in and on. Thank you for securing it time after time.
John 15, Revelation 3
Here is the other John 3: 16, it is 1 John 3: 16.
1 John 3: 16
Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
John 3: 16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3, 1 John 3
Psalms 41
In the Name of
Jesus Christ My Lord
Thank You My Father
