Perdition of Ungodly Men

On the Christ’s War Blog I titled yesterday’s letter, “Mikron hoson hoson.” It is a Greek quote from Hebrews 10:37 that is translated “a little while.”
37For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
The more accurate translation of this verse is, “For in a very, very little while the One coming will come, and will not delay.”

My point today is to add additional description to the prideful and their offence.
Verse 38 reads, “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” The Greek word that “draw back” is translated from is hupostello meaning to cower. It is made up of two words, hupo meaning under, and stello meaning here to abstain from associating with.

This context is seen in Hebrews 10 and mirrors the description of your leaders that I gave several days ago.
From 12 July, “Mostly all of those in leadership are interested in power and control, and any others are either fearful of the consequences of presenting solution and or too lazy to do the work it will take to accomplish real restorative change. The one common factor with mostly all these is pride. They are all too proud to admit they have been wrong.”

Let’s keep going with this definition of those who are so prideful that they cower instead of presenting truth, solutions, and also hold down and refuse to associate with any that expose their lack of leadership by articulation of truth.

The next verse in Hebrews 10 reads, “39But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”

This verse tells us that this type of leadership, hupostello, ends with perdition. Perdition is translated from the Greek word apoleia. It is also translated “damnable” and “pernicious ways” in 2 Peter 2.

I am going to list several quotes that show you the true meaning here. They defines the problem as it has always been and as prophesied. As I have told you many times, the end of all this is that these misleaders so confuse (Babylon) the truth that they lead to the point of not even knowing God when you hear Him.

2 Peter 2
1But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

2 Thessalonians 2
3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

John 17
12While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

2 Peter 3
2That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour:
3Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Psalms 81

Several days ago I told you of the common trait in all the misleaders and that being their pride. Not just any type of pride but the type that overrides rational thought. It is the intoxicating influence of their fruit; their power and control makes them feel infallible. They wander from the truth and in doing can and do only lead to hell.

3For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
5Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
6Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!

Much of these two chapters are referring to Deuteronomy 32 & 33.

Isaiah 26
1In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
2Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in.
3Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Hebrews 10
28He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
29Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
30For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
32But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
33Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
34For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
35Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
36For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
