Jesus Christ Is Lord!

I want to talk to you about liberty in relation to Grace and the difference between circumcision and crucifixion.
These explanations will all be based in expanding the understanding of the difference between flesh and the Spirit. This can also be understood as the difference between the letter of the law and the spirit of the law.
Liberty is the state of being free to make choices. There is no morality, no right or wrong, attached to liberty. It is entirely neutral until the choice is added to it and at that point it becomes the mean by which a person acts morally or immorally.
Morality is determined by a set of rules or standards of right or wrong. These are established by someone and the first exercising of liberty is in the choice of whom you will listen to and whose standards you choose to make yours.
Understanding this we see the concept embodied in the story of Adam’s fall. The fall, the decline of man, the death of humanity, began with the first choice to listen to someone other than God for the standard of right and wrong.
Grace enters once the choice is made to listen to God. First example is Noah. (Genesis 5:29 thru 6:22)
Initially the standard was only this, listen to His voice. Later the law was added and it contained a set of rules that would be the standards of conduct that would bring order to a society making it civilized.
This led to the next step in human progression; the falling away brought on by the dependence on the letter of the law and losing sight of the reality that listening to God was still the most important.
The concept is defined many times as the difference between circumcision of the flesh and crucifying the flesh.
This is a very simple explanation of the truth of self governing. Liberty can only be bridled by listening to the Right Voice.
Crucifying the flesh is the Spirit of acting in a way that chooses not my will, but Thy will be done; and getting self out of the way so that God can work through you.
All of this is the word that is eternal, the truth that has no beginning or end, the wisdom of the ages.
It was truth long before this world was shaped and will remain long after this world is gone.
Galatians 4, 5 & 6, Romans 4
Faith is believing in what you hear and then acting on it.

2 Peter
Hosea 6 & Matthew 12
I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
You should read these chapters.
