Jesus Christ Is Lord!
25 October 2010
What am I preaching? I am preaching Christ Crucified and us having communion with Him. Us following this same pattern as He showed us and doing it in remembrance of Him until He comes in the fullness and unity of the body. John 3:16 and 1 John 3:16
Fellowship and communion are the same word in the Greek, koinonia. It is also translated communicate and communication.
When I make statements about things such as perversions and deviations from truth am I suggesting that you run out and seek these out so that you can condemn them? I am saying that when you are confronted with direct contradictions of truth you must stand against it with bold truth. In doing this you will be attacked and you must expect it and stand in the face of it.
Read 1 Corinthians 10. This chapter explains much about the above.
The unity of the body, when to confront, the fellowship and communion are all spoken of.
The true communion is the fellowship, being partaker in the same suffering for the Truth’s sake, with The Lord Jesus Christ. This communion and fellowship with the Holy Spirit has been working in the world through all time. The suffering is the essential and the Glory will follow.
Koinonia is communicate in Hebrews 13:16
7Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.
8Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
9Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
10We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
11For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
You need to read these chapters: 1 Corinthians 1 & 10, 2 Corinthians 6 & 13, Hebrews 13, Luke 22, Psalms 127
Philippians 2
1If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.
3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
17Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.
18For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.
In the Name of
Jesus Christ My Lord
Thank You My Father
