Bear with me just a little while. Watch.

Jesus Christ Is Lord!

Did you read the Genesis story of Joseph? Chapter 38 is a parenthetical chapter about Judah.
It ends with two children being born of Tamar.

Genesis 38
27And it came to pass in the time of her travail, that, behold, twins were in her womb.
28And it came to pass, when she travailed, that the one put out his hand: and the midwife took and bound upon his hand a scarlet thread, saying, This came out first.
29And it came to pass, as he drew back his hand, that, behold, his brother came out: and she said, How hast thou broken forth? this breach be upon thee: therefore his name was called Pharez.
30And afterward came out his brother, that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zarah.

Pharez means breach or breaking and Zarah means rising.

You’re going to have to read all the surrounding chapters to get what I am about to point out.

Chapter 37 is where Joseph’s dreams and his brothers’ response are documented.
There is much to be seen; the first dream is the terrestrial and the second is the celestial, (think 1 Corinthians 15) in verse 13 when Israel needs someone to go feed the flock Joseph responds “Here am I.” These are the same words Isaiah speaks in Isaiah chapter 6.
Then Pharez and Zarah are mentioned later together in Isaiah 58 verses 10 and 12.
Think about the birth mentioned in the context of what is written in John 3 when Christ is speaking to Nicodemus.

Genesis 37 & 38 tells of the rising that was put in abeyance and of the breach that caused it. The later chapters tell of the pattern of the risings. Joseph tells later that it is all part of God’s plan.

The names of the children are also mentioned in Isaiah 5 and Malachi 4. Malachi 4 also tells of repairing the breach being reconciling the family, as in the Joseph pattern.

The breaking, Pharez, of the wall that is talked about in Isaiah 5:5 is also leading to Joshua 2: 15 -24.

2 Corinthians 11

Psalm 130
1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
2Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Mark 13
23But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
24But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
28Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
30Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
31Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
