Galatians 6
12As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.
13For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.
14But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
16And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.
Do you understand one of the underlying points here? It is appropriate to look at now that we are again seeing the open display of the false accusers. They attacking with accusation that others are doing what they themselves do with regularity. As they do it they can’t escape who they really are. They are the truly hateful and vile.
Have I ever told you the proverb of the snake and the river? A man is about to wade across a river. Before he crosses he encounters a rattle snake that asks him to carry him over. He vehemently declines and the snake asks why. The man responds that he, the snake, will surely bite him and kill him. The snake assures the man that he would not and would never repay his kindness with such an act of betrayal. The man is convinced and picks the snake up and carries him to the other side. Once there he set the snake on the ground and is immediately bitten. He asks the snake why and the response came, I am a snake that is what I do. The man died.
Have I told you lately that no matter what you do, no matter what you say they are going to attack you? The truth means nothing to these snakes, and their promises mean nothing. They are going to attack you with hateful venom because that is what they do, they are snakes. If they are ever nice to you it is because they want something first, and if they get it they know it has also drawn you close enough for the easy kill.
They have a self created moral code that allows them to do this while thinking themselves morally superior.
When you know who they are it makes standing against them much easier. When you know who you are it adds peace to your mind no matter what they do.
I want to be perfectly clear here that these snakes come in all political, media and religious brands.
Numbers 21
5And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.
6And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
7Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
8And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.
9And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.
10And the children of Israel set forward, and pitched in Oboth.
11And they journeyed from Oboth, and pitched at Ijeabarim, in the wilderness which is before Moab, toward the sunrising.
12From thence they removed, and pitched in the valley of Zared.
13From thence they removed, and pitched on the other side of Arnon, which is in the wilderness that cometh out of the coasts of the Amorites: for Arnon is the border of Moab, between Moab and the Amorites.
14Wherefore it is said in the book of the wars of the LORD, What he did in the Red sea, and in the brooks of Arnon,
15And at the stream of the brooks that goeth down to the dwelling of Ar, and lieth upon the border of Moab.
