I want to point out a word that will give you an understanding of the dividing line between the elect and all others. It is a word only used once and it is autoptai in Luke 1:2 translated eyewitnesses.

I am speaking of intellect and reality, and the spiritual. The word autoptai literally means – saw on their own. It could also have the meaning of falling backward as by wind. This is one of those cases where it means both and is meant to.

There are those who see it because they have been given spiritual eyes and cannot, even if they wanted to not see it, avoid seeing it. Then there are the opposite types that will refuse to see it, even when the shoots (proballo) and then the fruit appear.

These opposites refuse to accept what is plainly presented in the beginning and then also refuse to be corrected by the evidence when it appears later in time. They deny the solution and redefine the good as evil to continue to mislead into their wrong way. As the fruit appears they again deny it and redefine the evidence, again calling the good evil and their evil good. They do it all to justify their evil ways.

A plain language example is, we have warned of the Muslim extremists and that they will use any tactic to gain control and force their submission on any and all that fall for their deceptive methods. The leftists joined the Jihadists in bullying and demonizing any who point this out.
Then we see it being played out right before our eyes and they again refuse to see it and go to any extent to wrongly define what is evidently set before all to see. They do it to justify themselves.

It is the difference between man as intellectually honest and subordinating any self agenda (Spirit and truth) and man as an animal, a beast.
